This is a song I worked on in February of 2008 with my good friend and all-around musical wunderkind, Dan Pisarcik. I wasn’t sure of how to approach the production of this song, only having arranged it on acoustic guitar so far. We decided to take a Brian Eno approach and throw everything at our disposal into a hat (and I mean everything, pots and pans included), and make rules regarding drawing them out and having to put it in the mix. My initial response to the draw of beat-boxing was distaste, but by the end of the production, I must be honest, it’s my favorite part of the song.
